Téléchargez le Service Pack 2 de SharePoint

Depuis quelques mois, Microsoft propose les mises à jour de SharePoint au travers de deux types de packages: les Service Pack et les Cumulative Updates. Ainsi, pour avoir un environnement SharePoint qui soit à jour, vous devez installer:

Le dernier Service Pack
Le dernier Cumulative Udpate

Cette fois, ce n’est pas un Cumulative Update qui est proposé mais bien un Service Pack. Ainsi, vous ne devez installer rien d’autre que le Service Pack pour être à jour.

Office: Le SP2 sortira fin du mois!

C’est annoncé sur le blog de l’équipe Microsoft Update: Le SP2 sera disponible sur Microsoft Update fin du mois. On peut donc s’attendre à le voir en téléchargement quelques jours plus tôt. Il ne nous reste plus qu’à attendre tranquillement et patiemment qu’il soit disponible…

SharePoint Designer est désormais gratuit!

Il y a quelques semaines la rumeur sur la gratuité de SharePoint Designer a fait son apparition sur le net. C’est désormais officiel, il est possible voire même encouragé de télécharger cet outil.

On y verra une très bonne chose… Tout du moins si vous le mettez à disposition de vos utilisateurs de manière structurée et réfléchie, histoire d’éviter des interventions sur des sites customisés de manière hasardeuse.

Comme annoncé ce lundi, le Service Pack 1 de Office 2007 (et donc de Sharepoint) est disponible.

Il devrait rapidement être disponible sur Microsoft Update.

Cependant, comme je sais que personne ne le lira, voici les informations principales concernant les modifications/corrections dans Sharepoint :

Advanced search results now include results with spaces in file names.
The View by Modified Date function now works correctly in search results.
Office SharePoint Server 2007 is now able to crawl case-sensitive Web content on computers not running the Windows® operating system.
Office SharePoint Server 2007 can now index a public folder on a Microsoft Exchange Server with a backslash in the subject.

With the 2007 Office system SP1, the performance of Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007 improves general server activities and search functionality. An Office SharePoint Server that experiences heavy use no longer slows when a Microsoft .NET Framework hotfix (greater or equal to build 2.0.50727.832) is installed. The service pack also helps reduce the lag time before the start of a document library crawl during a document search in SharePoint.
