Do you need to have information about Microsoft licensing? There is a website that is available from Microsoft. You can configure products and calculate costs.

According to first tests, it should be interesting that the tool select automatically requirements. Merging information on product description with information in the tool will permit to have a global overview of cost.

SharePoint / Office: Ouvrir un fichier sans devoir spécifier à nouveau le mot de passe

Il est rapidement ennuyeux de devoir réintroduire son login et votre mot de passe pour ouvrir un fichier dans Office directement depuis SharePoint.

Si cela est le cas, il est fort probable le site SharePoint soit dans une zone que Local Intranet.

Ainsi, Office regarde cette notion de zone que l’on retrouve dans Internet Explorer. Lorsque la zone est différent de Local Intranet, les credentials ne sont pas envoyées lors de la connexion pour le téléchargement du fichier. Il suffit donc de dire explicitement que le site doit faire partie de la zone.

Pour cela, rendez-vous dans Internet Explorer, ouvrez le SharePoint au sein du navigateur puis allez dans le menu Outils > Options Internet et sélectionnez l’onglet Sécurité.

Il ne reste qu’à cliquer sur Local Intranet puis sur le bouton Sites.

Après un clic sur le bouton Avancé

il ne reste qu’à appuyer sur Ajouter.

Votre site est désormais considéré comme étant un intranet et les credentials sont donc envoyés lors de la connexion.

Office: SP2 will be released at the end of the month

Microsoft Update team announced on his blog that Office SP2 will be available on Microsoft Update at the end of the month. Maybe it will be available a few days before on Microsoft downloads sites. Just wait…

Office: Le SP2 sortira fin du mois!

C’est annoncé sur le blog de l’équipe Microsoft Update: Le SP2 sera disponible sur Microsoft Update fin du mois. On peut donc s’attendre à le voir en téléchargement quelques jours plus tôt. Il ne nous reste plus qu’à attendre tranquillement et patiemment qu’il soit disponible…

Office (et donc Sharepoint également) Service Pack 1 disponible

Comme annoncé ce lundi, le Service Pack 1 de Office 2007 (et donc de Sharepoint) est disponible.

Il devrait rapidement être disponible sur Microsoft Update.

Cependant, comme je sais que personne ne le lira, voici les informations principales concernant les modifications/corrections dans Sharepoint :

Office SharePoint Server 2007 is now able to crawl case-sensitive Web content on computers not running the Windows® operating system.
Office SharePoint Server 2007 can now index a public folder on a Microsoft Exchange Server with a backslash in the subject.

With the 2007 Office system SP1, the performance of Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007 improves general server activities and search functionality. An Office SharePoint Server that experiences heavy use no longer slows when a Microsoft .NET Framework hotfix (greater or equal to build 2.0.50727.832) is installed. The service pack also helps reduce the lag time before the start of a document library crawl during a document search in SharePoint.
